MS13 gang leader to be deported - San Jose Mercury News: "Jose Abrego-Galdamez, 30, is due in federal court Thursday to face a charge he re-entered the United States after being deported. He has been deported three times in the past eight years, most recently in August 2005 after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Santa Cruz County, according to the affidavit filed in federal court.
Abrego-Galdamez's arrest comes less than a month after Santa Cruz police started a collaboration with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement National Gang Unit to investigate gang crime in the city. The effort is part of Operation Community Shield, an ongoing ICE effort to partner with local police agencies to address gang issues."
