Four men jailed in 'Old West' shootout: "Shaun Roberts, 26, and Daniel Landry, 24, each got six years; Chantha Kim, 32, was handed a five-year sentence and Marcel Landry, 27, received 41/2 years -- less credit for time already spent behind bars.
'The significant penitentiary time reflects what can colloquially be called a shootout on the streets of Calgary, reminiscent of the Old West,' Crown prosecutor Shane Parker told a judge in presenting a joint-sentencing submission worked out with lawyers for all accused.
A teen, who was also in the car, previously pleaded guilty in youth court and was sentenced to a young offenders facility.
Kim was behind the wheel of an Acura while rival gangster Matthew Chubak was driving an Infiniti at 1:25 a.m. on Nov. 16, 2008, in Chinatown.
Gunfire rang out when the two vehicles pulled up next to each other at Centre Street S. and 2nd Avenue, court was told.
Hans Eastgaard, whom police believe to be a member of the FOB gang, Chubak, Nathan Zuccherato and Timothy Chan -- all occupants of the Infiniti -- were struck by several bullets.
Roberts, who was in the Acura, was also struck by a bullet, suffering a wound to the cheek.
No one was fatally wounded in the gunfight, though a series of deadly attacks followed in the subsequent weeks and months."
