Glasgow police investigate the attempted murders of James Boyce and John Rennie | The Sun |Home Scotland|Scottish News: "James Boyce, 24, was blasted outside the Ranza Bar in Glasgow's East End on Saturday.
He was hit twice at point-blank range amid fears of a war involving the feared city crime clan. Wounded Boyce was with pal John Rennie, 29, who was run over by a car in the horror afternoon attack. And yesterday locals claimed shots were fired AGAIN near the pub just hours after the shooting. Shooting ... Ranza BarBut cops insist they had no further reports of any gunfire.
Tensions in the area have been rising since the murder of gangland enforcer Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll, 29, who was buried last week.
The Lyons family are alleged to be behind the killing.
An underworld source said: 'The Boyce family are in bed with the Lyons mob.
'They went looking for a member of the Morrison crew, who hang about the Ranza Bar."
