Maryland: Hagerstown woman sentenced to 30 years in racketeering case: "Michelle Hebron, 25, of Hagerstown, admitted to being involved in the statewide racketeering conspiracy as a member of the Tree Top Piru Bloods, a branch of the Bloods street gang.
Murphy said part of the federal government’s racketeering case included a murder charge against Hebron.
Hebron was charged with the Oct. 5, 2007, shooting death of David Moore, 23, who was found lying at the base of a staircase in the first-floor hallway of an apartment building at 101 East Ave. in Hagerstown.
Murphy said federal prosecutors did not have to prove in court that Hebron murdered Moore because she confessed to committing the crime.
Prosecutors said that Hebron wrote a poem about the killing, saying she shot Moore because he was wearing the wrong gang colors.
According to a Justice Department press release, “Hebron was a member of the (Tree Top Piru Bloods) and regularly met with other TTP gang members to discuss, among other things, past acts of violence and other crimes committed by gang members against rival gang members and others ... (and) to plan and agree upon the commission of future crimes, including robberies, drug trafficking, and assaults, and the means to cover up these crimes; and to reinforce drug rules.”"
