NJ Man Convicted Of 2 Gang Slayings - cbs3.com: "Edariel 'Riddicc' Melendez faces up to life in prison when he's sentenced in August.

Prosecutors say the 22-year-old participated in the fatal shooting of 13-year-old Elijah Henderson as the teenager rode a bicycle in 2007 in Elizabeth.

Two days later, prosecutors say Melendez also participated in the slaying of 54-year-old Celso Pedra.

Authorities say they believe the deaths were a result of mistaken identity. Officials say Melendez was seeking retaliation against rival gang members for the murder of Rehashed Thomas.

Thomas was a member of the Crips known as 'Twin.' He was killed at Ella's Lounge in Elizabeth on Nov. 11, 2007."
