Reputed Oak Park gang member murdered on West Side :: News :: PIONEER PRESS :: Oak Park Leaves: "Oak Park man with a previous murder conviction and gang affiliation was found shot to death in the East Garfield Park neighborhood Sunday night.
Michael Stanciel, 30, of the 400 block of Wesley Avenue, was found unresponsive, suffering multiple gunshot wounds at about 11 p.m. He was lying on a sidewalk on the 600 block of North Homan Avenue, police spokeswoman Laura Kubiak said.
Stanciel was pronounced dead at 11:51 p.m. at Stroger Hospital, according to a medical examiner's office spokesperson.
'It's an ongoing homicide investigation,' said Kubiak, who said Stanciel was a member of the Black Gangster Disciples street gang."
