Second arrest made in October stabbing death of Santa Cruz teen - San Jose Mercury News: "second gang member suspected in the fatal stabbing of a Santa Cruz High School student was arrested Tuesday.
Pasqual Reyes, 21, of Live Oak, who was already in jail, will face charges after forensic evidence tied him to the Oct. 16 gang-related clash on Laurel Street that killed Tyler Tenorio, Santa Cruz police said.
The fight stemmed from a shouting match between one of Tenorio's friends, who was in a car with Tenorio and two others, and two gang members on the corner of Laurel and Chestnut streets around 10 p.m. Oct. 16, according to police.
Tenorio and his friend stopped the car, got out and walked back down the sidewalk to confront the two gang members, but about six more men appeared to back up the gangsters, police said. Tenorio and his friends tried to flee, but the teen fell to the ground, where he was attacked, police have said.
Tenorio suffered 16 stab wounds. He died on the street, according to police."
