Shooting linked to gangs, drugs, crime: "man shot and killed outside a Coquitlam Superstore last week has been identified by police as Milad Saffari.
The 27-year-old Coquitlam man was known to police for his involvement in criminal behaviour, said Integrated Homicide Investigation Team spokesperson Cpl. Dale Carr.
'We're of the belief it's targeted and we're of the belief that it has something to do with gangs, drugs, organized crime,' Carr said.
The shooting occurred on Wednesday, June 2 around 9:45 p.m. in the Superstore parking lot located off Lougheed Highway between Westwood Street and Christmas Way. Several bullets hit Saffari, who was sitting in a black Mercedes."
