Two charged with gang murder in Northern Saskatchewan

Two charged with gang murder in Northern Saskatchewan: "Two men have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting Sunday of a 29-year-old man in the northern Saskatchewan village of La Loche.
Curtis Ecklund, 26, and Richie Herman, 18, appeared in La Loche provincial court Tuesday morning. In addition to the murder charge, they are also facing weapons charges. Both are from La Loche.
They were remanded until June 24, when both will appear in Queen's Bench court in North Battleford.
An acquaintance of the victim, who asked not to be identified for fear of reprisals, told The StarPhoenix the shooting involved members of a gang known as the Scorpion Brothers."
