Alleged gang member shot, later charged with gun possession: "Richard Lak, has been charged with first-degree unlawful firearm possession after police found a revolver in the 9000 block of 52nd Avenue South, a few steps away from where he had been. Court documents show Lak gave varying stories about the gun.
Police are still searching for the person who shot him Sept. 20.
Lak was shot near Renton Avenue South and 52nd Avenue South. Police say the 23-year-old is a self-admitted 44 Holly Hoover Crip known by the moniker 'Hands,' and is feuding with members of the Down With the Crew gang.
Lak, a five-time felon who most recently was convicted for unlawful firearm possession and possession of a controlled substance, is prohibited from having a gun."
