Barstow men plead not guilty to 2009 slaying, warrant issued for third | barstow, issued, plead - News - Desert Dispatch: "Rolando Gamez, 33, was arrested on Friday for the murder of Victorville resident Gilbert Chavez, 28, and pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, conspiracy, and participating in a criminal street gang Wednesday morning.
The same charges were also filed against Claudio Jimenez, 32, on Tuesday, and Jimenez also pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning. Jimenez is currently in custody for a June staged burglary gone wrong that resulted in a non-fatal shooting. In that case, Jimenez pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon in a plea bargain agreement earlier this month for an expected three-year sentence.
Jimenez was previously identified by detectives as a member of “Los Gents,” a street gang unique to Barstow."
