Gangster’s friend shot four times in packed pub - National News, Frontpage - Herald.ie: "CLOSE pal of slain mobster Paul ‘Farmer' Martin is fighting for his life today after being shot four times.

Drinkers in a packed Dublin pub dived for cover as the masked gunman opened fire.

The victim, Glen McGrath, is in his 40s and is known to gardai. It is believed he may have been wearing a bullet proof vest at the time.

The critically injured man was leaving The Cappagh House pub in Finglas at 8.30pm when he was shot at least four times.

He was singled out by the gunman who fired up to six shots in the crowded pub from a semi-automatic pistol as customers dived for cover.

The would-be assassin then fled the scene in a Volkswagen Golf."
