Chico Gang Leader Faces Seven Years In Prison - News Story - KRCR Redding: "27-year old Aaron Rodriguez of Chico pleaded guilty to the felony charge of having a stolen firearm in his vehicle in association with a street gang.
Deputies with the Butte County Sheriff's say Rodriguez was initially arrested in October of last year for a traffic violation when deputies noticed he was wearing known gang colors and had several tattoos of a type common to criminal street gang members.
During a search of his car police found a handgun, which was later determined to have been stolen during a 2008 burglary in Chico.
Police also found pictures and text messages on Rodriguez’s cell phone which led them to believe he was a high-ranking leader of a local street gang."
