The Insane Clown Posse is a rap group whose music centers around violence and murder

09:36 |

:The Insane Clown Posse is a rap group whose music centers around violence and murder and reporter Dax VanFossen has the story of how these gangs have made their way to the Flathead Valley.

The ICP, or Juggalo, gang is loosely based on a violence spewing rap group and listeners who take the messages literally commit horrible crimes. The FBI has even named the Juggalo's on their organized crime watch list. But Nasset says they are anything but organized.
"It is disorganized. You know there are small pockets here and there, but in general it is disorganized."
Organized crime or not, the repercussions are scary. Back in April of 2010, Kalispell resident Wesley Collins was brutally murdered by convicted killers Robert Lake and Jeffrey Nixon, who both claimed to be part of the Juggalo's group. Nixon and Lake were both recently given long sentences at the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge.
"The Collins homicide, you know certainly we found evidence that those two, including the tattoos again, were part of the ICP Group. And just hearing of the violence involved in that homicide, and their mindsets, was pretty frightening," Nasset explained.
Another incident happened about two months ago when Dante Kier broke into a Kalispell man's home and stabbed him with his own knife. Kier Later told investigators he was associated with the Juggalo's.
Like it or not, the evidence shows the existence of this disorganized gang in Kalispell and Nasset says they are continuing to deal with the problem, but it's tough to figure out.
"There is so much danger I think out there right now, in the music that people are listening to, especially this type of music, which from what I've heard, is a lot of discontent and hate and murder and homicide and I don't understand that, but obviously they've got a following," Nasset told us.
He added that due to the disorganized nature of this type of group it's hard to pinpoint specific cures to the problem. Nasset suggests that if you believe someone to be capable of causing harm to property, or people, then contact your local law enforcement.Text may be subject to copyright. This blog does not claim copyright to any such text.
