Opening arguments are expected to begin Monday in the trial of a gang member charged with the murder of a local high school football star. 17-year-old Jamiel Shaw, a standout running back at Los Angeles High School, was shot and killed near his Arlington Heights home in March 2008. Four days later, police arrested Pedro Espinoza, an 18th Street gang member who was in the country illegally.
