gang member once suspected of setting a fire that killed two Wenatchee boys has been sentenced to prison for a firearms offense. The Wenatchee World reported Wednesday that 20-year-old Juan Manuel Oropeza Lima of Peshastin has been sentenced to 21 months and deportation on a federal firearms possession charge. Police found Oropeza Lima with a handgun while investigating the August 2011 fire that killed 6-year-old Ricardo Alejandre-Garcia and 4-year-old Mariano Alejandre-Garcia. The fire was believed to be a gang-related arson until police concluded last April that it had been caused by a cigarette. Oropeza Lima was previously convicted of felony harassment in 2009 and entered an Alford plea to methamphetamine possession in 2010.
