Sacramento County Superior Court judge sentenced two gang members to life in prison on Friday for murdering three young men in Rancho Cordova last year. Saul Isidoro-Ausencio and Francisco Delgado were both sentenced to three terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murders of 15-year-old Jamir Miller, 16-year-old Richard Ward and 20-year-old Robert Corpos. Isidoro-Ausencio was sentenced to an additional term of 75 years to life and 16 years, 8 months in prison for the personal and intentional discharge of a firearm for each murder and for committing the crimes for the benefit of the Sureno street gang. The victims were shot in February 2011 as they were riding their bikes on Malaga Way in Rancho Cordova because Isidoro-Ausencio was seeking revenge for a beating he suffered at the hands of rival gang members, according to the District Attorney’s Office. When he was unable to find the gang members who beat him up, he and Delgado drove up behind the victims and shot them instead. They believed that the victims were gang members even though they had nothing to do with the assault on Isidoro-Ausencio, the District Attorney’s Office said.
