Drive-by shooting leaves 16-year-old dead in Kansas City

16-year-old boy died after a shooting early Saturday in Kansas City, police said. Officers called to the 3000 block of Oakley at 3 a.m. found the boy and a 17-year-old female on the front porch of a home. Both had been shot by someone driving past in a red car, police said. The boy was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The girl is expected to live. Police did not release names, pending notification of relatives.
