Gang members fatally shoot man near Gardena | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times: "victim was leaving a party in the 11200 block of South Berendo Avenue about 12:30 a.m. when he was shot by two known gang members standing on the sidewalk, Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died. His identity was withheld, pending notification of next of kin. MacWillie said the man’s parents were out of the country."
