Lake Calhoun shooting was gang-related, police say | Minnesota Public Radio NewsQ: "Minneapolis police say a gang feud led to the killing of a man near Lake Calhoun earlier this week. And they say an uptick in gang activity has led to more shootings and killings in the city than last year.
Derrick Gregory Martin, 20, of Brooklyn Park, was shot to death Monday night on the walking bath around the lake.
Inspector Mike Martin, commander of the 4th Precinct in north Minneapolis, says the increase in gang activity is due in part to a volatile mix of gang members on the streets."
