Suspected gang leader nabbed in Tampa ICE raid

14:41 |

Suspected gang leader nabbed in Tampa ICE raid: "While Mario Rangel slept, a team of federal agents planned how they were going to take him down.
Rangel, who has twice been deported, is in the country illegally from Mexico. Authorities say he's a leader in the Sur 13 street gang, with a long record of criminal convictions, including burglary, domestic violence and grand theft.
'This guy's not a member of al-Qaida, but he is definitely a member of a criminal organization, a gang, a violent street gang,' said the U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement agent who led Thursday's raid. 'He knows if he gets caught, he's in a lot of trouble.'"
