Gang member testifies in murder trial - The Pueblo Chieftain: Local: "Pueblo man so dedicated to his street gang that he had 'East Side' tattooed on his upper lip and '13' on his chin testified against a fellow gang member Friday.
Anthony Brandon Gonzales, 21, told a jury that he was with Lorenzo Oscar Gonzalez, 19, the night of Sept. 24, 2009, and into the next morning when Gonzalez opened fire on an East Side garage, killing Carlos Romero, 18.
Gonzalez is charged with first-degree murder and five counts of attempted first-degree murder.
During his testimony, Anthony Gonzales told the jury that he accompanied his friend home from another party that night to protect against getting jumped.
Gonzales said that as the two men were walking east in an alley between Fourth and Fifth streets near Portland Avenue, they heard music."
