S. Calif. gang member convicted of killing 2 teens - San Jose Mercury News: "gang member has been convicted of two murders for a 2008 attack on a group of teenagers attending a birthday party at a Masonic temple in a Los Angeles suburb.
The Long Beach Press-Telegram says 22-two-year-old Jonzel Stringer also was convicted Tuesday of 46 counts of attempted murder.
Authorities say dozens of teens were in the line of fire when he and another man shot into the packed temple hall in Long Beach. A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old were killed.
Prosecutors say Stringer was punched in the face during a fight with gang rivals at the party. He and accomplice Izac McCloud then fired into the crowd.
