Two charged in gang-related N.W. Side shooting :: News :: PIONEER PRESS :: Norridge and Harwood Heights News: "The victims, ages 21 and 25, were standing on the street when an assailant approached, shouted gang slogans and began shooting, News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said. The gunman then fled on foot.
The 25-year-old was shot in the lower back and taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Perez. The 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand and was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center.
Police took four people in for questioning, Perez said. Two were released without being charged, but Anthony Pitts, 20, and Richard Piczello, 33, have each been charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, police said.
Pitts, of the 3500 block of North Lowell Avenue, and Piczello, of the 2800 block of West Fillmore Street, were scheduled to appear in court Sept. 22, Perez said."
