Hells Angels member carried loaded gun without license, Marlborough Police say - Framingham, MA - The MetroWest Daily News: "Jason A. Cavooto, 35, was not licensed to carry the Sig Sauer, Detective Martha Shea said yesterday.
'At any time, anything could have gone wrong,' Shea said. 'That's a very dangerous situation for officers.'
Police pulled Cavooto over for allegedly speeding. They searched him as a precaution because he appeared nervous, Shea said.
The weapon is classified as a large-capacity gun because it can hold a magazine with more than 10 rounds. The gun had a loaded magazine, Shea said.
Cavooto, of 55 Essex St., is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded large-capacity firearm on a public way and possessing a firearm/ammunition without FID/license, police said.
At his arraignment in Marlborough District Court yesterday, Cavooto posted the $5,000 bail ordered by Judge Michael Madaus, court records said. He is due back in court Dec. 27."
