Accused gangster Jackie Tran loses final legal bid to return: "Federal Court has dismissed Jackie Tran’s final avenue of appeal, making it virtually impossible for the reputed Calgary gangster to ever legally return to Canada.
“For all intents and purposes, it’s the end of the road,” said Tran’s lawyer, Raj Sharma, said this afternoon.
Federal authorities deported Tran to his native Vietnam last month, shortly after he exhausted all appeals against a removal order based on his criminal record.
Sharma had gone to Federal Court seeking a review of a second removal order alleging Tran belonged to an organized crime group — the FOB Killers, whose conflict with the rival FOB gang has been responsible for at least 25 homicides since 2002."
