Christopher Coke Reportedly Negotiating Surrender To US Authorities – IndyPosted: "Christopher Coke is negotiating with American authorities to surrender in New York and may well be in custody by the end of the Memorial Day weekend. It is reported that coke managed to escape the besieged Tivoli Gardens section of Kingston, Jamaica and to flee the Carribean island nation.
Coke has a reputation that ranges from that of a bloodthirsty killer and ruthless gangster to a patron of the poor and caring community leader. The term “Shower Posse” refers to the hail of gunfire with which the gang often kills its adversaries. Many of Coke’s defenders had received money and food to supplement meager incomes in a country that has almost no social welfare safety net. On the other hand, Jamaican women who were visiting the US were sometimes forced to smuggle drugs in body cavities. CNN reports as follows how Coke’s gang reportedly recruited drug mules."
