Gang Member Sentenced For Selling Drugs - Portland News Story - KPTV Portland: "Goldfinch is a 'hardened, vicious gang member,' with twelve criminal convictions that date back to 2001, when he assaulted three people. He also beat and slashed a man in 2003, beat two women in 2005 and threatened an ex-girlfriend in 2008.
'Crime and violence seem to be just part of who he is,' Dion wrote to the court.
In his letter to the court, Dion said Goldfinch's violence has carried over to the Federal Detention Center. In September 2009, Dion said, Goldfinch punched an inmate in the head because 'he did not like what the man was saying about football.'
Prior to the investigation, police identified Goldfinch as a member of the Nortenos street gang. The gang formed in the 1960s in California and its members have been involved in violent crimes, drug trafficking, extortion and intimidation across the country since then, authorities said."
