Boy, 14, arrested in gang-related killing | arrested, year, old - News - The Orange County Register: "14-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of killing a 17-year-old boy who was shot just steps from his home, police said.The arrestee has not been identified because he is a minor and details of what led detectives to him have not been released, said Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
A photo of shooting victim Manuel Raul Orozco, 17, was left with candles and flowers where he died Tuesday evening after being gunned down near South Sullivan Street and Willits Street . Authorities are searching for two teenage boys on bicycles they believe were involved in the shooting., Manuel Raul Orozco, was shot to death about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of South Sullivan Street, near Willitts Street, Bertagna said.Orozco was shot once in the upper torso and was declared dead at the scene.Gang detectives are looking for another young man who was seen leaving the scene on a bicycle, Bertagna said.Orozco became the fourth homicide victim of gang violence in Santa Ana so far this year.Bertagna said Orozco did not have a criminal record.Less than three hours before Orozco was killed, a 16-year-old boy was shot five times during another gang-related attack. John Anthony Cervantes, 19, of Santa Ana was arrested Thursday in connection that shooting, Bertagna said."
