Cops: Yonkers slaying gang-related | LoHud.com | The Journal News: "23-year-old Yonkers construction laborer brazenly stabbed to death in the busy New Main Street business district May 17 was a victim of gang rivalry, city police said Monday.City Police Commissioner Edmund Hartnett said there was a 'gang nexis' to the murder of German Medina-Vazquez, as he announced the arrests of three city men in the homicide.Defendants Edgar N. Marin, 19, of 15 Normandy Road, Axel Vazquez, 17, of 50 Hawthorne Ave. and Jorge Calixto, 20, of 103 Palisade Ave. are members of the Vatos Locos Mexican street gang, Yonkers detectives said at a news conference at police headquarters.The victim was a member of a rival Mexican street gang, Tulocos or TLC, detectives said."
