Suspect in 2009 Barstow gang shooting arrested - San Bernardino County Sun: "Police arrested Rolando Gamez, 33, on Friday at a home in the 600 block of Nancy Street.
Detectives identified him as a suspect in the shooting death of 28-year-old Gilbert Chavez of Victorville. Police say Chavez was killed because a prison gang accused him of stealing property from a gang member in Hesperia.
Chavez's body was found in the desert May 16, 2009 near the corner of P Street and Linda Vista Road. Officers obtained surveillance video from a camera mounted on a pole nearby and tracked down a vehicle seen in the area before the body was found.
The vehicle owner said she loaned it to one of the people suspected of killing Chavez."
