10 injured in Vancouver gang shooting

2009 Vancouver Gang War10 injured inVancouver gang shooting: "10 people were shot — two critically — early Sunday morning in what Vancouver police described as an “outrageous display” of gang violence in the city’s west side.
Several people were taken into custody for questioning.
Police received multiple 911 calls shortly after 2 a.m. of a shooting near Oak Street and West 22nd Avenue, an area with a mix of small businesses, apartments and houses.
Several people with gunshot wounds were found in the area and more turned up at local hospitals over the next hour, said Vancouver police spokeswoman Const. Jana McGuinness.
Six men and three women were being treated for gunshot wounds, she said. Two people were in critical condition."
