Vancouver Gang shooting

08:09 |

Vancouver Wild: A Photographer's Journey through the Southern Coast MountainsVancouver Gang shooting: "The residents of Vancouver were awaken by gunshots early Sunday morning causing chaos and concern throughout the street.
The shooting took place outside a restaurant that was hosting an invitation only party. At least ten people were wounded between the ages of 20 and 36. Those attending the party were known to have connections with the gangs in Vancouver.
A rival that has been ongoing for quite some time. Deputy chief Warren Lemcke confirmed the shooting was related to another incident that took place in October in Metrotown.
Deputy Lemcke also confirmed no suspects were in custody and would not comment on the gangs involved in the incident.
Prior to the incident Vancouver police did issue a warning of increased tension between the gangs and a war like massacre may occur like the one in early 2009.
Mayor Robertson declared the police would step up their presence in high gang areas to help prevent gang wars from taking place."
