Alleged gang member arrested by SCPD for drug possession, ICE hold - San Jose Mercury News: "Police arrested a suspected gang member wanted on a felony drug warrant Friday morning.
Guillerino Linares, who Santa Cruz police say is an affiliate with the Mara Salvatrucha street gang, was walking in the Barson and Campbell street area. The Santa Cruz Police Department Street Crimes Unit, Santa Cruz Police Detectives and County Anti-Crime Team were running a surveillance detail in the area when an officer spotted Linares.
Linares, 39, was arrested about 8 a.m. for being in possession of cocaine as well as a felony warrant for cocaine sales, according to Santa Cruz police Lt. Larry Richard.
Linares, who is also known as Willian Flores, is also wanted by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officers, Richard said. ICE had been searching for Linares for his connection with drug dealing and gang affiliation with the Mara Salvatrucha gang in the area, Richard said."
