Nomads bikie gang leader Hassan “Sam” Ibrahim is in Westmead Hospital after being shot in the leg

00:24 | , ,

Nomads bikie gang leader Hassan “Sam” Ibrahim is in Westmead Hospital after being shot in the leg outside a Merrylands house tonight.

Sam Ibrahim is the older brother of Sydney nightclubs owner John Ibrahim and sister to Armani Haddad, who was lucky to escape injury in a drive-by shooting at Ryde late last year.Fadi’s older brother Sam Ibrahim, 42, was shot twice in the upper leg as he was standing outside his mothers’ double storey house in Price St about 6.45pm.

Police said a car with several people inside drove up to the house and fired a number of shots.

Witnesses said they heard several gunshots, followed by a car, possibly a gold Mercedes, skidding twice and speeding off.

Police have described the vehicle as light-coloured.

Sam was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition and was operated on last night to remove one bullet that remained lodged in his thigh.

Fadi’s other brother John Ibrahim, a nightclub owner, went to his mother’s house last night as police were searching the area for clues.

The attack may be linked to a bikie feud.

Sam is the founder of the Parramatta chapter of the Nomads who is now known as a Notorious gang associate.

It’s not the first time an Ibrahim has been shot.

Fadi survived an attack after he was shot five times by a gunman while sitting in his black Lamborghini in June 2009.

His model partner Shayda Bastani was also shot in the leg while sitting next to Fadi.:Text may be subject to copyright. This blog does not claim copyright to any such text. Copyright remains with the original copyright holder
