Four arrested in I-80 slaying of Vallejo musician - San Jose Mercury News: "four suspects have been arrested in the Jan. 12, 2010, slaying in Crockett of Vallejo musician Dewey Tucker, law enforcement officials announced at a crowded news conference at California Highway Patrol headquarters.
Held on a variety of charges was Raul Vega, 19, of Santa Rosa, who police identified as the suspected shooter. Also arrested were Christopher Mancinas, 29; Javier Lopez, 20; and Hector Barragan, 28, according to a CHP news release.
On hand for the announcement were more than a dozen family members and friends of the 24-year-old Tucker, who said they were finally getting some answers about his death.
Tucker's fiancƩ Breana Whitney called Wednesday a 'bittersweet day,' and added the last year has been a long one.
'Today is filled with a little sorrow, a little relief that the people who are responsible are not on the streets,' Whitney said. 'We've been waiting all year to put faces to cowards with guns,' she said.
Tucker was shot multiple times while driving westbound on Interstate 80 near the Cummings Skyway off-ramp while on his way to band practice at his church in Oakland.
The CHP said the four suspects reportedly mistook Tucker as a rival gang member, followed him from in front of his Vallejo apartment on to the freeway and then shot him"
