federal grand jury has indicted 12 suspected gang members with being involved with the killings of nine people over five years in northwestern Indiana. The racketeering indictment unsealed Monday charges the men with being members of the Almighty Imperial Gangsters and carrying out murder, attempted murder and drug trafficking in East Chicago. The indictment says the indicted men believed at least six of the victims were members of rival gangs. The indictment also lists several attempted murders and the possession of 700 rounds of ammunition by the gang members.
