Gun victim named | Eastlondonlines: "man found fatally shot at New Cross’s Woodpecker estate has been named. Metropolitan Police say that 21-year-old Nathan Allen was a resident of nearby Desmond Street.
Mr Allen was discovered with gunshot wounds by emergency services just after 9pm Monday. They were called to the garden of an address in Ludwick Mews. The victim was pronounced dead at 9:41pm. A post-mortem examination, performed at Greenwich Mortuary, gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.
Nathan Allen was known locally as “Mase.” There has been a Facebook page set up in the man’s memory.
The attack was the second deadly shooting at the Woodpecker estate in the past year. Police have yet to make an arrest in relation to Mr Allen’s death.
The Met Police opened an incident room under Detective Chief Inspector Gordon Allison from the Trident unit, which specialises in gun crime."
