The Longmont Times-Call: "Mexican man arrested in Longmont on Wednesday afternoon was wanted in a 2009 'gang-style' murder in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers asked Longmont police for assistance after they tracked 25-year-old Ricardo Padilla-Chavez to Longmont. Longmont officers pulled over the car he was in on the 100 block of East Rogers Road, where Padilla-Chavez was arrested without incident.
Longmont police Cmdr. Tim Lewis said on Thursday that Padilla-Chavez has family on the 300 block of 14th Avenue, which led federal investigators to the city.
The Mexican Attorney General contacted United States officials to ask for help locating Padilla-Chavez, suspected in the April 2009 murder of Sergio Torres-Morales in Chihuahua."
