Third suspect in alleged gang shooting nabbed - Fall River, MA - The Herald News

Third suspect in alleged gang shooting nabbed - Fall River, MA - The Herald News: "Phin, 18, of Pine Street, was arrested Saturday outside the Foxy Lady, New Bedford, after he attracted the attention of a New Bedford police officer by getting into a loud argument at the door to the club.

A computer check resulted in Phin’s arrest. Police have charged him with being part of the group of young men who shot and seriously injured a 14-year-old on Fountain Street during the afternoon of May 18.

Phin has been on the wanted list for the past week after a car, reputedly carrying members of the Bloods street gang, opened fire on a group of young men standing on the sidewalk in front of a home on Fountain Street.
The shooter was trying to hit a member of the Crips, a rival street gang, but the bullet instead struck a 14-year-old who has no connection to either gang, police say."
