Suspected gang member arrested in FL | Fox10tv.com: "U-S Marshals and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspected gangster last night after more than two hours of negotiations.
Jimmy Eugene Suarez is said to be affiliated with the gang known as “Gangster Disciples.” Suarez is wanted in both Ft. Lauderdale and Escambia County.
The Florida regional fugitive task force and the sheriff’s office received information Suarez was at a home on Myrtle Hill Circle in Pensacola. Patrol deputies, K-9 officers and Task Force members responded, and spotted a vehicle Suarez was reportedly driving around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators verified Suarez was inside along with his mother and two young children. Law enforcement on scene say Suarez threatened to shoot officers and himself if they tried to arrest him.
A relative eventually helped officers negotiate with Suarez on a cell phone. Suarez walked out of the home around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was arrested without incident. No one was injured.
Suarez is wanted by U.S. Marshals in Ft. Lauderdale for violating his supervised release from a 2004 arrest where he was convicted of possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking crime. He was sentenced to 72 months in federal prison and five years supervised release"
