Two dead in Salinas gang shootings - MontereyHerald.com :: "Two people were shot to death in Salinas on Friday in what police described as gang-related killings.
The first shooting took place early in the day on the Alisal High School campus where Jose Daniel Cisneros, 15, was hit by gunfire.
The sophomore was shot shortly before 8 a.m. as he entered the campus, prompting a school lockdown that lasted for 1½ hours, Principal Dan Burns said.
The second homicide happened about 8 p.m. in a residential neighborhood in East Salinas when a 20-year-old man was gunned down on Key Street.
Investigators remained on the scene late Friday, but no further details were available."
