The Insane M.O.B. has been involved in every crime you can think of

The Insane M.O.B. has been involved in every crime you can think of, including two murders, murder for hire, drive by shootings, drug trafficking and arson.

The investigation started back in 2007 after the shooting of a school bus. The gang was involved in intense gang warfare with a rival gang.

News 13 was told their headquarters was the Fade Factory barbershop on Conway Road.

Things escalated this spring when gunfire hit the barbershop. In response, the Sheriffs Office Gang Enforcement Unit decided to partner with FBI, FDLE and Crimeline to try to take them down.

Authorities said through undercover buys and tips, they were able to do a sweep in July, arresting nine members including the current leader Theodore Vasquez and the self-appointed hitman nicknamed Brazil, Joshua Tuxton.

"We're on top of it. We can assure this community we are working diligently to keep this community safe and free," said Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings.

Demings said many people were intimidated and turned a blind eye, but he hopes the announcement will encourage help on ongoing gang investigations.

There are currently 55 known gangs in Orange County, with about 1,300 known members and associates.
