Former president of the Hells Angels has been jailed for eight and a half years for child sex and drugs offences. The 43-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will serve a minimum of six and a half years behind bars before being eligible for parole. The former bikie pleaded guilty to 18 charges of supplying minors with drugs including cannabis and amphetamines. He was found guilty by a County Court jury in November on one count of committing an indecent act with a child under 16 and one count of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
But he was acquitted of sex charges against six other girls under 18. Judge Meryl Sexton said that after separating from his partner in 2006, the man was living in a house on his own with a high level of security, including closed circuit television.
She said it was a place where vulnerable teenagers came to take drugs and to party.
"These were troubled young women and the heavy consumption of drugs supplied by you in a constant stream could not have helped their situation," Judge Sexton said in sentencing the man.
