Why wasn't toddler safe from harm? :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Mary Mitchell: "Cynia Cole, the 20-month-old girl who was shot in the head while sitting in her father's car.
Police sources said Cynia's father, Jerome Hendricks, was the intended target. Hendricks is a Gangster Disciple, and the alleged shooter is a Black P Stone.
I remember when newspapers wouldn't even print the names of gangs, fearing the notoriety would encourage the violence.
But not anymore.
Gang members and drug dealers are routinely getting front page coverage. The more heinous the crime, the bigger the headline."
