17 suspects in gang activity named in federal indictment | Deseret News: "17 men alleged to be members of the Tongan Crip Gang — accusing them of forming a criminal outfit that commits acts of crime and violence to build its reputation — are meant to send a message.
Investigators say the 29-count indictment, which was unsealed Wednesday, is meant to show others involved in gangs that criminal activity will not be tolerated.
'This indictment sends a message to those in TCG and in other gangs that are plaguing our communities that if you commit crimes of violence, if you terrorize our residences, if you destroy the quality of life in our communities, we will come after you and you will pay a severe price,' said Jim McTighe of the FBI."
