Terry Lemon, 26, of Dexter Street, Trenton, fought with Gangster Killer Bloods gangster Arnold Poole, 24, at the August 2007 show in a Ewing fire hall.
While the fight was quelled there, tempers again flared at 11:15 p.m. when the two met up on North Clinton Avenue. That’s where Lemon admitted he shot Poole, who later died after undergoing emergency surgery at a city hospital, police said.
A 19-year-old Bloods member was also shot on Locust Street, but survived, police said.Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Meidt said at an earlier hearing that witnesses said they saw Lemon running away after the shooting with a handgun. Meidt could neither confirm nor deny the shooting was gang related, but Poole had status in the Gangster Killer Bloods. In a plea agreement with the prosecutor, Lemon pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in return for a 15-year sentence, 85 percent. Mercer County Superior Court Judge Pedro J. Jimenez accepted the plea deal.He also pleaded guilty to the charge of certain persons in possession of a weapon and agreed to a five-year sentence that will run concurrent with the other term, Spokeswoman Casey DeBlasio said.
