Alleged gang member busted in Kingston drug sting - The Daily Freeman Blotter: Serving the Hudson Valley since 1871(DailyFreeman.com): "'known member' of the Latin Kings street gang faces felony drug charges after leading officers on a foot chase through Midtown Friday following a buy-and-bust operation in the area of Broadway and Henry Street, authorities said.
Fernando P. Parris, 24, who authorities said was staying in Room 100 of the Superlodge at 129 state Route 28 in the town of Ulster, was arrested by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT).
Authorities said that as members of the task force approached Parris to arrest him for selling crack cocaine, he fled on foot. Officers pursued the suspect, ultimately capturing him on Henry Street.
Parris was charged with criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies; and misdmeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. He was being held in the city lockup pending arraignment."
