In 2007, crime clan kingpin Terry Adams was caged for seven years for a £1million money laundering scam.
The family have vowed to pay their respects to Carroll after hooking up with one of his closest pals, who won't be able to attend the ceremony today.
Members of Carroll's crew who will be at the service include Francis 'Fraggle' Green, 27, and his sister, Carroll's on-off partner Kelly Green - children of Jamie Daniel.
Fraggle was one of the first people on the scene when Carroll was shot dead outside an Asda store in Robroyston, Glasgow, in January.
The insider added: 'The Adams are top boys down south and are turning up to show support.

But other underworld figures have vowed to stay away from the funeral because of the expected police presence and the threat of Lyons family spies.
Another source said: 'Some are trying to keep low so the last thing they want is cops spotting them at one of the most high profile funerals in gangland.
'Worse than that is the Lyons. A lot of folk play both sides, but to openly associate with one or the other is bad for business.'"
