Guilty Verdict in “49th Street Massacre” Triple Murder | Street Gangs Resource Center – Los Angeles and California | The Gang Experts | Crips | Bloods | Mara Salvatrucha | 18th Street: "Jurors found Charles Ray Smith, 41, guilty of the 2006 triple murder on 49th Street and Central Avenue. The victims, included David Marcial, 10, a fourth-grader at Hooper Elementary School and his uncle, Larry Marcial, 22. The third victim was Luis Cervantes, 17, a neighbor of the Marcials.
The prosecution had argued that Smith along with his codefendant, Ryan Moore shot the three in a retaliation to the shooting of “Itty Bitty” a 30s Piru member that was shot and killed by an East Side 13 member."
